25 Christmas Questions
1. Eggnog or hot chocolate?
Last Christmas Nick and I found Sugar Cookie Eggnog! It was like drinking liquid cookie dough! If it's not sugar cookie kind though I have to go with hot cocoa!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree?
Santa always wraps, tags tops his gifts with lovely bows!
3. Colored lights on tree/house, or white?
I love white lights! So pretty and classic!
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No, I never have! I get enough kisses without any.
5. When do you put your decorations up?
When I start feeling the Christmas spirit! The past few years a week or so before Thanksgiving. One month is just not long enough!
6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
Oh wow.. so many! My Aunt Kathy's Corn Cassaroll! Delicious!
7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
I have 2:
Growing up the whole family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) would have a get together and everyone would bring a pizza! We had always drawn names at Thanksgiving and so we would swap gifts with who we had drawn. I loved getting together like that with my cousins! I miss it and my cousins! Love you Kandi, Natalie, Adam, Aaron, Luke and Mathew!
One year after Dan and I had opened all of our gifts my dad walked outside and started yelling "Kids look what I found! Santa must have dropped these on the way out!" Dan and I were super excited to open more gifts but for years I felt terrible..like I had stolen another little child's toys! I can't wait to play tricks like that on my very gullable future child.
8. When, and how, did you learn the truth about Santa?
When my little brother was about five he told my mom that it was a ridiculous idea and simply not possible! But we still left Santa cookies for many years just incase we were wrong! ;)
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Well, we used to when we had Christmas together and it was always pajamas!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
My mom always had a theme growing up and that was a lot of fun! One year we had all snowmen, then another year all snowflakes, last year we decorated with tons of feathers we had from my wedding. Now that Nick and I have our own tree..well, trees... we have one of all kinds of fun ornaments downstairs and one upstairs that is all red and white.
11. Snow! Love it, or dread it?
I love to see it falling..so pretty! But, I do not want to drive and or play in it! What a wet, soggy mess!
12. Can you ice skate?
Yes! I'd probably pretty wobbly now but when I was 13 I took ice skating lessons!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
So many! The one I remeber the mostr was when I got my very own T.V. and VCR for my room when I was 13. I thought I was the bomb!
14. What's the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Sometimes we all get wrapped up in the lights, gifts and holiday parties but the true reason for the season is Jesus's birth.
15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
I am a lover of all things sweet! I love Christmas M&M cookies though! So pretty and festive!
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Nick's family decorates sugar cookies every year. The first year I went to decorate was in highschool. Nick invited the whole "Circle" of friends to come. We started decorating and chatting and just having fun. At the end of the night I looked around to see that everyone had their cookies nicely stacked and ready to take home to share with their own families. I looked down at my plate to find a 2-3 lonely cookies. I thought the point was to decorate and eat, decorate and eat. Apprently not! Every year since then Momma Mc reminds me to save my cookies and not eat them all in one night ;)
17. What tops your Christmas tree?
A bow I had my mom make up for me last year.
18. Which do you prefer; giving or receiving gifts?
Oh, I love both! I have so much fun deciding what to get my girlfriends! I always enjoy opening the gifts Nick gets me too! He is so good at rememebering many of my "I want..." and I wish..." remarks all year!
19. Candy canes; yuck or yum?
Yummo!
20. Favorite Christmas show/movie?
Elf and Christmas Vacation!
21. Saddest Christmas song?
I'm sorry but I'm so sick of those damn Christmas shoes! I have to change the station everytime!

Too many! I love em' all..except Little Drummer Boy!
23. Do you mail Christmas cards?
Yes, I made some this year with a picture of us in Venice. I didn't order enough though and I didn't get to send out as many as I wanted!
